1a: Professional Profile

Hi my name is Meshika Richards nick name 'SHEEK' and i am currently on a work base learning course at Middlesex university.I am also currently doing  voluntary  work at Sutton Life Centre for young youth involving a projecting with both my partners Tanisha Thompson and Sanana Lewanika starting on our Drama work shops. I have recently finish a two year course of Performing Arts (Drama and Theatre Production) Foundation Degree Arts at Middlesex University. Before attending Middlesex i completed a BTEC First Diploma Performing Arts (Performing: Acting) and a National Diploma in Performing Arts (PERFORMANCE) and Dance at Charshalton College. While attending Charshalton College i successfully completed a Making it Happen Now programme(Time To Make A Choice) Board Breaking Exercise in 2007.I also involved in a Enrichment Seminar Proframme in street dance in 2005. Being on the corse has giving me many ability's to learn different types of dance including Jazz, Tap, Street Dance, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Physical Theatre.I have achieved my Bronze and Silver medle in Tap Dance. I like to think of myself as a hard working enthusiastic person who is always keen to work and is ready for challenges.


I have a positive energy and vibes and take alot of pride in any and everything i do. I'm very excited to start on new projects withing my Profssional Practice ( work base learning) cousre. I know this will be a new challenge for me in many ways but i am keen and excited about the task this course has to offer me.

In my spare time i enjoy going to the gym, swimming, kick Boxing, Fit Jam, Soca Arobics, Cycleing and relaxing in steam rooms.

Do web based technologies enhance professional practice?

Everyone has their own opinion of the web some positive and negative but with so many websites around the world it makes you wonder how much the web based technology now effects our lives. Reading stories on new stars being born from the web makes you think how a simple photo or video could change your live if been viewed by that one person. With millions of people around the world using the web and  sites such as Facebook, My Space, and Utube all wanting to be discovered, liked or just viewed you come to think how much how much the web can enhance professional practice if willing and determined to go for what you want.
