After looking through the reader over and over again it took me quite a while to gather all the information and allowing it to settle, I then began to realize how this is connected to way I use my networks. The concept of cooperation and its ideas which origins lies in desire to the model game where one player succeeds at another's expense is a very useful thing to know about in my career. Axelrod, R (1984), when should a person cooperate and when should a person is selfish, should a friend keep providing favours to another friend who never reciprocates. He speaks allot of understanding in this quote there are many times that I go for jobs and feel as though I’ve been taking advantage of, and at times I wondered maybe if I act more selfish and uncaring I would have more of an opportunity in life by putting myself first and playing my way threw the field. To have a successful career in life you will need to know how to lie, sometimes betray and push your way forward even though you may find yourself falling one step back again you will always need to be able to have the energy and courage to pick yourself back up otherwise you have others out there who are always willing to go that little extra mile to be one step ahead of you. Connected with Affiliation why humans form close relationships with each other, Crisp, J & Turner, R. (2007), if we have too little contact we feel isolated, but if we have too much contact we feel crowded. Affiliation has the tendency for us to seek out others providing networks of support that will help us when were in need, I find this to be great affiliation survival technique to keep those who are beneficial in my professional career. I know find that I am getting the use of networking to conduct more with being able to connect with contacts within my industry. I hope to gain more knowledge in networking and will be using these networks to further my career.
